Kai and I had the pleasure of spending a day with our long-time clients exploring luxury condos in the breathtaking Kohala Coast Resorts. As we assist them in listing their stunning Kona vacation rental, we are also actively searching for their perfect replacement property—a crucial step in their 1031 exchange process. With deadlines looming, being proactive is key to ensuring a smooth transition.
Our tour included some of the finest resort communities on the Big Island, including Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani, and Waikoloa Beach Resort. Each offered a distinctive charm, making the decision exciting for our clients. We have clients in all resorts, and we take our time to explain each community so our clients can envision their lives there. At Waikoloa Beach Resort, the oceanfront Kolea community($2.8M- $4.8M), with its impeccable craftsmanship, serene amenities, and proximity to the beach, stood out as a top contender for its elegance and convenience. Kai witnessed the construction in 2003 and 20 years later, it is still the best in the Waikoloa Resort.
We then explored unique offerings at Mauna Lani and Mauna Kea Resort. The Ka Milo ($3M) at Mauna Lani presented a harmonious blend of comfort and resort living, while Mauna Kea’s Waiulaula($2-8M- 2.95M) and Amaui Villas ($4.9M)showcased elevated living with a panoramic golf course and ocean views—a truly captivating experience. Amaui Villas is a brand-new construction with only one unit left for sale.
It turned out to be a whole day experience with a nice lunch in between, but touring these properties firsthand clarified what each resort offers regarding amenities, location, and lifestyle. You have to see them in person to understand!
