Welcome to Hualalai Resort

The Hualalai resort is located ten minutes from the Keahole-Kona International Airport on 865 acres of gorgeous beachfront property. This world-renowned residential resort community has been ranked at the top of the world’s best hotels list for many of its twenty-five years in operation. With its consistently warm weather, access to outdoor adventures, and relaxing atmosphere, every day here feels like a summer vacation.

What to Love

  • Strong focus on community and sustainability
  • Resort class amenities and accommodations
  • Pristine beaches and stunning views

Local Lifestyle

The Hualalai resort tries to capture Hawaiian traditions such as embodying the idea of Ohana (family) within its communities, and the architecture pays homage to traditional Hawaiian design. The resort community is focused on supporting the local economy and culture through its Hualālai ‘Ohana Foundation. This foundation is a shining example of how to care for the needs of employees and their families, giving residents an opportunity to connect and give back to the local community.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

For a date or dinner with friends, there is no better option than the Hualalai Grille. This American steakhouse features a wide selection of grass-fed meats and fresh-caught seafood and overlooks the 18th green of the Hualalai Golf Course.

Another of the exceptional eateries found within the Four Seasons at the Hualalai Resort is the ‘Ulu Ocean Grill and Sushi Lounge. Seventy-five percent of the ingredients used at ‘Ulu come from local farms and waters, and the cooking techniques come from across the Pacific Rim, including wok firing and flame grilling.

Have the best of several vacation destinations with a visit to the Beach Tree Restaurant, where you can dine on the sand or in the open-air dining room while you taste California cuisine with a Mediterranean twist made with fresh Hawaiian ingredients.

The Hualalai Resort also offers on-site shopping. Pick up some souvenirs for friends or browse your favorite fashion labels, stocking up on activewear and golf apparel. There is truly something for everyone here.

Things to Do

The cornerstone of the Hualalai Resort is the Four Seasons hotel. A dramatic feature of this stunning resort hotel is the King’s Pond, a 1.8-million-gallon swimmable aquarium with a new elevated swimming pool, lounge deck, and Marine Activity Center. The pond is staffed by marine biologists offering interactive programming centered around the 4,000 tropical fish that call the pond home.

Make sure you check out Kukio Beach. Framed by coconut palms, mesquite, and ironwood trees, this white sand beach has some small tidal pools for little ones to explore. The waters here are usually calm in the morning and make the perfect spot for water sports like stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, and kayaking.

With two championship golf courses, it is no wonder that Hualalai plays host to the PGA Mitsubishi Electric Championship every January. The field for this tournament includes the senior major champions of the previous five years, along with the other tournament winners of the previous two years and a few special invitees.

One of the most frequent non-human visitors to the lava-covered shores of Hualalai is the green sea turtle. Although you can have lots of fun watching and photographing these beautiful creatures make sure you keep your distance as they are an endangered species.

Schools

Hualalai has many fine schools, including the above-average Konawaena High School.
