Discover Terry Field: Big Island Artist and Kuleana Rum Collaborator

One of the best things about living on the Big Island is how it brings us back to familiar faces and inspiring stories. At a recent Kuleana Rum event, I had the chance to reconnect with Terry Field—a talented local artist whose name you might already know. Over the years, her stunning commissioned pieces have added a touch of beauty of my clients’ homes, who rave about their love for her art. Seeing Terry again after the pandemic’s long pause was a heartwarming reminder of the incredible talent in our community.

Terry’s latest project with Kuleana Rum is a perfect example of her creativity in action. She designed a gorgeous bottle label of Hawaiian flora that really captures the beautiful spirit of the Big Island. My bottle is now a true collector’s piece signed by Terry and Steve Jefferson, Kuleana Rum’s passionate owner.

On top of her art, Terry hosts Paint and Sip workshops where you can enjoy drinks and pupus while letting your inner artist shine. I haven’t tried one yet (it’s on my list!), but friends have nothing but good things to say about the fun, laid-back vibe. Sounds like the perfect way to spend an island evening, don’t you think?

Terry’s workshops and her work with Kuleana Rum remind us how special life on the Big Island can be. Whether you’re into art, rum, or just looking for a fun way to connect with others, there’s something truly magical in what she offers.

Curious about Terry’s art? Thinking about commissioning a piece? Or maybe a Paint and Sip event sounds like your kind of night? Let me know—I’d love to connect you. And next time you’re enjoying a Kuleana Rum cocktail, raise a glass to all the amazing local talent that makes our island so unique. Cheers!
