Four Seasons Resort Hualalai: A Second Home for Many

The #1 Best Hotel in the USA, the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, is a beautiful resort filled with top-class hospitality. Paradise is certainly a fitting term for this resort. Hualalai also functions as a semi-private club that offers an exclusive experience and private estates and villas. We’ve had the privilege of representing many clients here over the years who fell in love with the Hualalai way of life.

I find myself at Hualalai often. I even took our wedding photos here and we had our wedding cake here at a private residence in Hualalai. You can find me going for a round of golf on the Jack Nicklaus-designed course with clients or having a relaxed breakfast at Ulu Ocean Grill, listening to the waves. I must say, dining at Hualalai is always a highlight. Emil recently celebrated his birthday at Miller and Lux, where the steaks are always perfectly cooked (medium-rare). Some of our most memorable mornings have started with fresh island fruit and Kona coffee at Ulu. In the evenings, we get to enjoy the oceanfront setting and warm island breeze at the Beach Tree Restaurant. Every day at Hualalai always feels like a special occasion.

Kona Village: Steve Jobs’ Favorite Hide-out

Coming in at #3 in the U.S., Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort, is a place where heritage meets ultra-luxury. Did you know? It was once a favorite escape for Steve Jobs, and thanks to the vision of Mrs. Jobs and Kennedy Wilson, it has been thoughtfully reimagined while preserving its rich history. Its hale-style bungalows offer unparalleled privacy, making it a true retreat.

A standout addition? Shipwreck Bar, which was recently named one of the 50 Best Bars in the U.S. It’s a well-deserved honor for its creative cocktails and relaxed ambiance. Enjoy a classic Mai Tai or any of their island-inspired flavors right by the rolling waves.

The Big Island Lifestyle
