His extensive personal network in Hawaii, US cities, and Asia helps support the buying and selling process. Kai conducted Hawaii Real Estate Seminars in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, before the Pandemic. His close relationship with some of the major private banks in Japan gives him invaluable real-time information and network.
Kai recorded the highest residential transaction in Big Island history at $37 million in 2020. That was also the highest residential transaction sale in the State of Hawaii that year. He recorded the third-highest residential transaction sale in the State of Hawaii for 2019 at $16.5 million and brokered an exclusive Los Angeles property that sold for $85 million in 2018. His 2017 New York City real estate sales totaled more than $27 million, encompassing $22 million of commercial property in the East Village and a $5 million condo in Tribeca. A new Midtown Manhattan condo closed in 2020 for $12 million. In 2021, Kai successfully sold a $12.5 million listing in Four Season's Hualalai Resort during the worst time of the Pandemic.
In 2022, Kai navigated a $133 million residential transaction to a successful close in California and was invited to join REALM, an exclusive worldwide network of top agents, as a founding member. He is working extensively on an ultra-luxury project using cutting-edge virtual reality and augmented reality technology. He is striving every day to grow to serve his clients better.
Kai now lives with his wife and ninth-grade daughter. The older daughter is in university.
Kai serves as a board member of the local Kona Daifukuji temple, a core of the Japanese-American community. He is taking twelve high schoolers to Japan this summer(2024).
He loves to golf, cook for family and compose music.
